how ordinary businesses make money

Privacy

This site doesn't try to find out who you are.

What the site does

Fair Ivy is a static site, which means plain pages sent to your browser. There are no analytics, no cookies, no accounts and no comments, and there's no mailing list. The pages don't load anything from other sites. Search runs in your browser on a list of posts it fetches from here. So does the Napkin: what you type stays in your browser and never reaches the server. If you share a sum, the numbers are in the link, after the # sign, which browsers don't send to the server either.

Like any web server, the one behind this site keeps ordinary logs: IP address, the address asked for (which can include words from a search), the time and the browser type. They're there to keep the site running.

If you email

If you write to hello@fairivy.com, I get your address and whatever you put in the message. It passes through an email forwarding service on its way to the inbox. It's used to deal with what you wrote, and it isn't sold or added to any list. If you'd like your email removed, write and say so.

Other sites

Posts link to their sources. Once you follow a link you're on someone else's site, under its own privacy rules.

If this changes

If any of this stops being true, for instance if analytics get added, this page will be updated to say so.
